About
Named after an animal that does not quit digging.
Badger Construction Services is a general contractor and construction manager in Seminole, Oklahoma, built around a simple idea: put the paperwork, the safety program, and the contract risk in one place, and let skilled trade crews do what they do.
Who we are
A prime contractor built around the trades, not above them
Badger holds the contract, manages the project, and answers for the outcome. Five trade divisions — roofing, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and grounds — carry out the work, several of them staffed by independent owner-operated companies that kept their own names when they joined the family.
That structure exists because of a problem we watched over and over: a two-truck plumbing company with twenty years of excellent work cannot bid a federal task order. Not because the work is beyond them, but because the bid requires a SAM.gov registration, correct NAICS codes, a bond, an Accident Prevention Plan, an SSHO, certified payroll, and a submittal package. The office half of the job is a full-time job.
So we made it one. Badger does the estimating, the project management, the superintendent and safety coverage, the bookkeeping and the invoicing. The trade companies do the trade. The customer signs one contract and gets one accountable party.
Why "Badger"
A badger is stubborn, methodical, and unusually hard to discourage once it starts digging. That is roughly the temperament required to find the actual source of a roof leak, or to run down the one missing submittal holding up a closeout package. It is not a coincidence that we chose it.
How we operate
- Document first, quote second. A condition survey with photos and readings comes before a number. Sometimes the finding is that a repair will do.
- No storm-chasing. We are not the truck that shows up after hail with a clipboard and a same-day price.
- Repair and restoration priced honestly alongside replacement, even when replacement is the bigger invoice.
- Manufacturer-approved installation so the warranty a customer paid for is actually enforceable.
- Say what we do not have. If a requirement is beyond our bonding or our record, we say so and pursue it as a subcontractor instead.
