Commercial Roofing

Low-slope and flat commercial roof replacement, repair, restoration and preventive maintenance — single-ply, modified bitumen, coatings and metal.

NAICS 238160 — Roofing Contractors

What this division does

Work is performed by licensed roofing tradespeople and managed by Badger Construction Services as prime contractor or construction manager — including estimating, scheduling, safety, and documentation.

Roof replacement & recover

Full tear-off or recover on low-slope commercial and institutional buildings, including insulation upgrades to current code R-value and tapered systems to correct ponding.

Roof repair & leak investigation

Infrared and moisture-meter survey, core cuts, documented findings, and targeted repair rather than blanket replacement recommendations.

Roof restoration & coatings

Silicone and acrylic restoration systems that extend service life and carry a renewable manufacturer warranty — often a fraction of replacement cost and eligible as a repair line item.

Preventive maintenance programs

Scheduled semi-annual inspection, drain and seam maintenance, and a written condition report with photographs and a funded repair forecast.

Metal roofing & retrofit

Standing seam and structural metal panel systems, plus retrofit framing over existing low-slope decks to convert to a sloped assembly.

Emergency & storm response

Temporary dry-in, documented damage assessment, and coordination with facility staff and adjusters.

Systems we install

Roof assemblies, matched to the building — not to our preference

The right system depends on the deck, the existing assembly, the building's use, the wind zone, and how long the owner intends to hold the asset. We write the recommendation to those facts.

TPO & PVC single-ply

Mechanically attached, induction-welded, and fully adhered thermoplastic membranes. The default choice for warehouse, retail, and institutional low-slope decks where reflectivity and hot-air-welded seams matter.

EPDM

Ballasted, mechanically attached, and fully adhered black or white EPDM in 45, 60, and 90 mil. Long field history and forgiving of foot traffic and thermal cycling.

Modified bitumen & built-up

Two- and three-ply SBS and APP modified bitumen systems — torch, hot asphalt, cold adhesive, and self-adhered. Preferred where redundancy and puncture resistance outweigh reflectivity.

Fluid-applied restoration

Silicone, acrylic, and urethane coating systems over prepared existing membranes and metal, with reinforced detail work at all penetrations, seams, and curbs.

Architectural & structural metal

Standing seam, exposed fastener, and retrofit framing assemblies, with engineered attachment for the wind zone.

One contract, five trades

Commercial Roofing work rarely stops at one trade

A roof replacement touches the rooftop units and their electrical disconnects. A restroom renovation touches plumbing, electrical, and finishes. Because all five divisions sit under one Badger contract, adjacent scope does not become another procurement.
